Have I ever mentioned how good Texas Pandaa is?
If i haven't already do so, Texas Pandaa is drop dead gorgeous. By that, i mean that their works are amazingly stunning. I first heard of their works a good one or two years back, introduced by Ayulyn@lj, and after hearing them i couldn't express how much i loveee their albums. I kept on putting their albums on repeat and never fail to be amazed by how serene, simple and stunning they sounded. It was until last year where i accidentally formated my hard disk that i lost their albums. And somehow they slipped out of my mind whilst i was all angst against myself over the formated hard disk . And it was recently again that i suddenly thought of Texas Pandaa.
Texas Pandaa is a shoegaze indie band from Japan which consist of four members; Asako on the guitar and Mikiko on the bass - both vocalists, Kazutaka being the other guitarist and Nadehiko being the drummer. Their first debut album was One Gleam After The Shadow, released somewhere in June '06 and currently have two recording albums, the second titled Days which was released in early December '07. But, believe it or not, Texas Pandaa have been active as a group for 10 years. 10 years active as a group but yet just two, twoo albums? I know. It sounds unbelievable, yes?
I heard that they take quite a long time to produce and/or record a song. They usually write the song in their homes and recorded it first - imperfectly. Then the members will state what went wrong and so on and so forth and correct them slowly. And the whole process translates onto the amount of effort and time they consumed to work on their creations. For example: one song from the album Days took a year to be completed. i don't know which song, but it took them a year to finalize everything and be satisfied about it. They strive for the best, no? I believe they do a lot of live gigs locally in Japan, which i think is what they have been doing for the past ten years besides writing and composing songs.

Blind - unplugged version - by Texas Pandaa and 7 Girls Orchestra.
Here's a special unplugged version of 'Blind' performed by the texas pandaa 7 Girls Orchestra.
Performed on 31st August 2008 @ Koenji HIGH
Blind is probably my all-time-favorite among all other songs by them, which is why there's two videos of them performing Blind. As of right now, i am desperately finding their albums as ayulyn went on a hiatus for unknown period of time. I'll try torrents using my brother's computer, or else i'll run to bww2 and request them there, hoping somebody could give me a reply.
Onto real life, very tired from swimming, and walking around ikano and curve for three hours straight, and i need to speed up my revision. And take my revision seriously. =A=
