It's been what, 10 years since I've updated?? And if I wait any longer, Wae will whomp me upside the head. :p Aflon had given me a nudge just before her birthday (HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY BABE!!!) but then my computer crashed. Tis still dead but J promises to get to it. *rolls eyes* Anywho, this is the first chance I've had to commandeer his computer.
I had a wonderful time in Philly. Wae and I have concluded that it is downright freaky to meet in real life, lol. And if anyone ever gives me grief again about making them walk in Chicago, I'll send them directly to Wae. I swear we walked at least 100 miles! That woman must have legs that could crush a... nevermind. :D I think I can actually go to the gym now and feel like I can accomplish something. That said, I definitely got a taste of what a wonderful city Philly is. I'd love to move there, it's just gorgeous! Wae is a truly lovely person and great friend. T is a delight. And the two of them together are something special. There is no question that they belong together.
The first night was the opening reception for his gallery show and I met a ton of people. His friends are absolutely fantastic! I wish I'd had more time to spend with them. And I love his paintings. Apparently three had already sold before the show even opened. I really really really want the little green one, lol.
Saturday we met Wowie, who is just adorable. :) I would've loved to spend more time with her as well. She's incredibly sweet and fun to talk to. The important thing I learned that day was how to properly pronounce Aflon's real name. I had no idea, lmao. I think it suits her much better than what I was calling her. ;)
I stayed in a B&B a few blocks from their place, which I looooooved. Much more fun than a hotel. Wae and I spent lots of time soaking up all the good stuff around their neighborhood. And I drooled incessantly over all her gorgeous jewelry and exquisite stones. I was good, I only bought four things. It was hard though, lol.
W&T gave me a grand tour of NYC, which I hadn't been to since I was 9. It was incredibly nice of them. Of course that was the day that the hurricane made it to New York. Figures, lol. But still, it was fun.
I can't thank them enough for being such wonderful tour guides. It was amazing to finally meet someone I've been so close to for the last four years. I'm sure I'm forgetting a ton of things to say, so I'll send *big squoodgy hugs* to Wae and T and lots and lots of love. MWAH!!
