So, on a tip from Liz, Marie and I decided to take in a movie last night with Little Gingersnap in tow. I don't know how many people are aware of this, but Atlanta has a drive-in movie theater. By the time King Arthur started at 9:15 (just after dark), Devon was just about asleep, and stayed quiet through most of the movie. But even if he'd shrieked like a banshee, he wouldn't have disturbed any of the other movie goers.
Best of all, the tickets are only $6 each, with children under 10 getting in free. It's also a double feature, for those of you with the endurance to sit through two movies. After watching King Arthur, we stayed on to watch Mean Girls. I only had a vague interest in seeing it, I wouldn't have paid to go see it in a theater, and I certainly wouldn't have arranged a siter just to see it, but since it was free with my other movie, and no sitter was required....
Anyway, I certainly recomend this for people with kids. While 9:15 is a rather late start time for a film with the yutes, I'm certain they start them earlier when the sun sets earlier.
