My henna arrived! I can tell that it's much better quality than the ready done pack I bought a few weeks back - it's far smoother and softer, far less lumpy and bitty and grainy. And the dye started releasing almost immediately when I mixed it up (and dyed my gloves bright orange very quickly).
I have done a strand test for 2 hours:
which I am pretty happy with. The roots haven't coloured as much, but I think I missed them a bit when putting it on, and of course they are much darker (apart from the greys) than the rest of my hair. When I do the real henna I think I will do the roots first, leave them for a bit (maybe half an hour or so?) and then cover the rest for maybe two hours. I want to do it now, but that would be madness! Friday night is the night.
