Kissing Caroline

We solved the problems of the world - over, and over again. We ran into the darkness; our wildness part youth, part hope. We crawled by the water’s shore; the sand tasting our toes. We were changed.

We were taught to conquer the world; to believe the impossible. We were not raised in a Marxist society; we grew to value productivity and capital. We learned to trust with Rolex watches.

An overflowing grocery store, the city merges and moves from one walk sign to the next.

M is for Milkmaid. Mother, woman, maid. While men run playing with toys and guns, she stands sharpening the dagger that is her cunt. She says, “Come inside me and feel the foolishness of my expression.”

B is for Bandaid.
