3 weeks summary
The cold:
it's been -25 some days, which is pretty cold.. my breath freezes on my eyelashes, and i gotta keep blinking or my contacts harden.
My shower gel was in bathroom windowsill and froze solid, then i touched the window and my hand stuck to it. You just gotta make sure and wear your thermals.
I was in Victoria (BC) on a photoshoot for a week with work. Stayed in the Fairmont Empress, One of the famous hotels in Canada. These are the images Lee and I shot. http://www.photoreflect.com/scripts/prsm.dll?eventthumbs?event=0C43000Q
This was a conference for al the big tourism companies in western Canada. so I met some cool people. Was on a Yaught previously owned by the prince of norway for a party one night. The owner runs Big white and kelowna ski resorts and can party pretty hard for an old guy!
There was partying every night and My boss lost my dig camera so I've no pics (other than the official ones)!!! The 12 hour drive on snow was hairy enough. we passed 5 cars that had slid off the road and were written off. on the journey home alone!
There's one other ulster-person in town - Ruth, Who is best friends with Joy and Andrea! She works in the sweet shop and can get me cheap chocolate from home!
As for ski-ing and boarding, I havent been up to the hill an awful lot. but I did hitch a ride with 2 guys last week. 1 of which is in charge of building the terrain park.
On Tuesday I start my ski-photographer job. cant wait,
