Things are working out great
Banff is beautiful. everywhere you look - mountains. Theres deer and elk wandering the streets. It's been warm during the day but freezing at night. Theres been a good bit of snow too, but it's been melting here in town, Up at Sunshine village ski hill is a different story altogether, 1/2 the runs are ski-able now and the season starts on Nov 11th! not long.
When We arrived in Banff I handed in some resumes and had a job offer within 2 hours of being in town. James and I both had interviews with the ski hill people, but I got a better job offer before they phoned me back. I am working for Banff Photography, and living in the staff house on otter street.
Day1 at work - got handed store key and store alarm code.
Day2 at work - Ran the shop on my own for part of the day.
Day4 at work - Got handed the company car (cool wee PT Cruiser)to drive to Chateaux Lake Louise (30 miles away)and take photos of a conference dinner. Was chatting to the Mayor and pubisher of local paper and other randoms for ages.
I like my job...
And come December I'll be taking portraits up on the ski hill
I bought me a snowboard and helmet today!!!!
And met some chicks at church.
James is currently inventing snow themed cocktails for his restraunt up on the hill.
