our tomato harvest...

“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.”

- Lao Tzu

Kind of an up-and-down week here. Crazy storms and sunshowers (which did a number on my Nasturtiums- I had to cut them down to the soil
), Gracie was home sick most of the week, major things breaking and needing repair, a new online class starting up and requiring quite a bit of time and focus, etc. It’s hard not to feel overwhelmed. I’m trying to take it slow and just go moment to moment.

I wonder if I’ll EVER stop watching the clock, feeling like I did when I was still in school, as if every moment has to be accounted for and spent doing something “useful”?

Sometimes slowing down is harder than trying to keep up. But I’m working on it.

My tomato plants are kicking into high gear down here in Florida. This bowl is just a tiny bit of what’s coming out of the garden at the moment. Yay for garden-fresh veggies (even though I don’t eat tomatoes, at least not raw ones…)

I have another post up over at Sprout: Dispatches from Three Gardens- I hope you’ll check it out.

Have a lovely and *relaxing* weekend. I’ll probably pop back in here tomorrow with some Awakening Joy stuff.
