I feel good about work now. I mean, we don't work in a cheery environment or anything (it's jail, not Disneyland), but I'm getting used to everything. My co-workers are getting to know me better and vice versa, and the attitude is usually upbeat. I've observed that people who work in fields that often have to deal with very dark topics or see disturbing things - i.e. people working in criminal justice or say, as EMTs or firefighters...they joke a lot, to keep the mood light, so people can smile even after dealing with very upsetting situations or people.
I'm going to learn Spanish. I need it for work. Basic Spanish will come in handy, plus I figure if I do end up pursuing funeral studies and work in a funeral home, it'll be so useful to know Spanish. French was fun but I really don't have the opportunity to use it much. This way I can communicate with more people here.
I am so addicted to Harry Potter again! I'm re-reading the first four books and then I'll start on the fifth, which I've never read (and haven't seen the movie yet either).
Finding Nemo warms my heart but I still think Ratatouille is my favorite Pixar film. It's so hard to pick a favorite though.

P.S. Today I learned that Border Patrol is no longer called Border Patrol. They are...wait for it...ICE. Doesn't that sound badass? I think it's because I'm associating it with ICE, the bounty hunter GOB hires in an Arrested Development episode. And ICE goes to Mexico looking for George Sr., and the real life ICE um, patrols the border? So you can see the similarities.
P.P.S. Arrested Development is the best television show ever made.
