I didn't get the specialty position at work. I'm not disappointed about that, I'm just disappointed in myself because apparently my scores on the interview just weren't high enough. I feel like maybe I am too awkward and talk too much and think about the variables too much, i.e. they gave me five tasks and I had to choose what order to do them in.

Bleah, that sucks. Hey I say with your college degree, you should apply for a county job if any open up. Great benefits, 40 hrs a week, and lots of places to work. Hopefully the budget improves sometime soon.

Yeah it can get expensive. I've heard of people getting $500+ tickets, but I think they were going 90+. The fee sucks but the CHP officer (who was a total sweetheart actually) taught me a lesson and it'll probably keep me safer on the freeways in the future...I don't go above 70 anymore!

Maybe. They do know I work hard and they have praised my abilities, so I know they are aware I am capable...but like I said, I think things actually worked out for the best, in the end.
