Linda Hirshman has an op-ed in the NY Times about mothers and work.

And the Books section also has an article about the recent raft of "mommy" books, which is less interesting. (The Hirshman is also mostly rehash, but at least has a Point.) Apparently women have feelings about this sort of thing, and like to debate them on discussion boards, but they don't buy the books. Really? They don't want to buy books that are either preaching to the choir or insult the nature of their lives? Oh golly gee.

I guess it's that time of the news cycle.
