Oh physics why do you have to be such a chore to revise? Or is the answer in the question? Huh.

History was fine. I even finished in the time and, shock horror, had time to spare. I nearly fainted. Thankfully I felt I could write on all of the essay questions I had to do. That was my main worry (apart from not finishing). I didn't want to be in the situation where I had a choice of essay questions where I could do neither. And what's more, my wrist didn't even feel like it had been between a very active mortar and pestle for an hour. Much.

But alas, now have the much more mundane problem of revising physics. It's not that I can't do it, but more that I really, really, really don't want to. This is not helped much by me still remembering that I got 90% in the mock. If I had done badly, I would be feeling far more motivated to revise physics. Although I realise, that I will not get anywhere near 90% if I do not revise at least a bit. As it is, the lack of motivation as a result of my best-ever-physics-mark in the mock, and my knowledge that I will not get anywhere near my it, give somewhat conflicting thoughts that are working away to provide me with a rather useful headache. Which will really help me with phyisics revision (which I am actually going to do whether my brain cell wants to or not).

By the way, I'm not trying to show off or whatever here. I am proud of my mark in the mock but I would rather have got a bad mark in the mock and been more motivated to revise, so perhaps causing me to get a better mark in this actual GCSE exam. I also realise that not revising for physics because of the mock would be a) stupid, b) cocky, c) annoying and d) tempting fate (to put it mildly). Just as long as that's clear.

I am also more blind than I was before (although thankfully not for long according to my optician). This morning I woke up and tried to put in my contact lenses. Except that having put the first one in, I wanted to rip my eye out. So I took the lense out and the pain did not go away, but intesified leaving me feeling as though a shard of glass was stuck in my eye. Anyway, that stopped hurting after some vigorous rubbing (which was not the best idea) and the application of some eye wash stuff (which was a slightly better idea). I got home after the exam and started reading the newspaper. And I noticed that I wasn't seeing well out of my left eye (yes I was actually wearing my glasses). So I got booked into see the optician who told me that I had a slight abrasion on my cornea and it would get better. So hopefully I will be able to see again tomorrow. Oh yes. I am also not allowed to wear contact lenses for a couple of days.
