give my heart but i never sell

++I love Beth Orton. Always have. I remember March nights in 2002 with "Sweetest Decline" on repeat while it rained in the courtyard outside my window. And when the storm passed, running outside to shake the magnolia trees until their petals and the runoff fell on our faces.

This is on repeat tonight. Download it. And then wait to listen to it until much later... when it's dark and you're alone... just because that's the best way to hear it. Just. Plain. Lovely.

++Jen Chadd, I'm worried you tried to call me back tonight and I missed you again. I took a bath... it's cold enough here for a wool sweater tonight.

++I know I wasn't supposed to love it, but I did. Green Street Hooligans is pretty flippin' fabulous. Don't listen to the critics. Oh, and it's brutal. I mean, brutally violent at times. But I still loved it, despite it being a bit derivative, despite a slightly cheesy wannabe-U2 song over the climactic fight. Is it weird that I kind of love violent movies sometimes? That I hate war and killing and cruelty and pain... but then get totally engrossed in bloody business?

++I got a lot more to say. But, really, I just want to crawl between the sheets.

Selah.
