Summer shows. Any takers?
Ok, I'm just putting a couple of shows I found out about yesterday out there for you guys to check your calendars for..... I realize that not all of you are local. Most of you are not, actually, but some of you ARE, and you know there ain't nothin' more fun than shakin' yo' thang with Ashley Bliss. PLUS, I might even throw in the option of you having control over the cd player in the car on the way to the show, so.... oh yes. I'm putting dates and how long it takes to drive there so that you know what you're getting into...
7/7 BETH ORTON Higher Ground in Burlington VT (2 hours)
7/21 VETIVER Pa’s Lounge in Somerville MA (2.5 hours)
7/13 JOLIE HOLLAND & SEAN HAYES Higher Ground **I really super duper want to go to this show. SOMEONE has to be interested. I'll make you a mix cd. I'll wash your dog. I'll give you a KILLER back rub.**
8/8 WILLIE NELSON Shelburne Museum (2 hours) I seriously am not into paying top dollar for Willie, no matter how awesome he is, but if someone is into it, I'll totally go.
9/21 OLLABELLE Iron Horse in Northampton MA (3.5 hours) Ok, long drive. But freaking Ollabelle. There is NO WAY this will be anything other than a FABULOUS show. Unfortunately my Northampton crashpad has dissolved since Maura has hightailed it to Connecticut, so it's either a $40 hotel room or a long night's drive. I'll leave it to you.
