Last Monday, I witnessed something that was rather amusing. It was one of those times that made me pause for a moment to register the whole scenario and chuckle.
I was in my car at a stop light on the far right side of the two lanes. And, as I stare into my left side rear-view mirror, I see a guy in his Mercedes with his buddy on the left lane. As I continue to observe, I see the driver roll down his window and pour water from his 0.5 L Arrowhead bottle onto his windshield. Then I see the windshield wiper go, "Eeeka, eeeka, eeek." Soon after, the driver decides to empty the rest of the water from the bottle onto his windshield and let the windshield wiper have at it once again.
Now, if that's not class, I don't know what is. ;)
Maybe it's just me, but for a Mercedes driver, I thought, "What a novel way of cleaning your windshield on the go." Not to say that I expected Artesian water to ooze out of a Voss bottle imported from Norway, but I just pictured the whole windshield cleaning process to be a bit more "luxurious" or "classy" coming from a Mercedes driver.
Perhaps the guy's Mercedes didn't have anymore water to squirt out from the container?
If the guy needs his windshield cleaned, it doesn't matter how he does it just as long as he gets it done. And, it doesn't matter if the guy is driving a Mercedes or a fartbox of a car, like a Geo Metro. The bottom line is, he needed to clean his windowshield.
Sure, it may be considered an "unconventional" way of cleaning his windshield, but I'd like to call it "resourceful." =)
