Blood Tests
ANA: Anti-nuclear antibodies, result 1:160.
Mild Positive. (Negative Test: 1:320)
Found in people with autoimmune disease, also possible to find if they have a current infection, cancer, or some other diseases.
**My second positive ANA score
ACA: Anti-cardiolipin antibodies, result 28.
Moderate Positive. (Negative Test: <15)
A form of anti-mitochondrial antibodies indicative of autoimmune disease.
C4 Complements, result 15.
Mildly Low. (Normal Test: 17+)
The complement system is a group of proteins that work with the immune system.
Lupus: Negative
Rheumatoid Arthritis: Negative
Eppstein Barr Virus: Past Infection (no reactivation of cells)
X-Rays
Loss of disc space height between L4 & L5.
Not uncommon, as this is the most stressed space. May explain some lower back achy-ness.
Bilateral Acetabular Retroversion
Little known variety of hip dysplasia, in which the mouth of the acetabulum (where the femur meets the pelvis) is not angled in the correct direction. Instead of opening in a more forward position, they are open to the side/back. Explains why I have never been able to stretch forward down my legs. This also provides just enough stress on the hips to explain why it was so easy for me to injure it, and why it continues to have pain.
------
Redoing blood tests in April before an official diagnosis of auto-immune disease is made.
