- I've been sick for going on a week now. Something like a cold, and although I can get out of the house now, it's still there. The biggest trouble right now is that it's keeping me up at night. Nyquil only helps so much. I'm still waking up 2 or 3 times with coughing fits or because I need a tissue. Or just waking up for reasons unknown (possibly hip related discomfort? see below).
- The hip's bothering me. It's been aching off and a couple of weeks, but over the past few days, it's gotten worse. It's gone from an ache in the joint to ache + sciatic nerve pain. As of this morning, the nerve pain has started to radiate down the entire leg, but even more worrisome is that last night and off and on today my right leg has been tingly, as if it's starting to go numb. Because I've built up a slight tolerance to the pain, this may or may not have something to do with why I'm not sleeping well.
+ Two job interviews, one of which was on Friday, and I have another on Monday. Main benefits of the first job are location (two blocks from the house), and flexibility in hours, which I'll need for this upcoming semester. Downside is that my starting pay would be $0.11 less than what my pay was at PetSmart (which was already pitiful). Benefits of the second job is that I'd be working again with animals, for a starting wage $1.50 higher than the other job. Located close to PetSmart, which is as far as I'd like to drive. Downside is the possibility of less flexible hours, which would leave me limited only to working weekends. Both jobs offer good opportunities to advance within the company.
