Darn you Chopin.
Ugh! I'm going out of my mind! I'm attempting to analyze a "Musical Moment" by Chopin but this dead guy is kicking my butt. I'm also attempting to learn a Chopin Ballade, but that one's going even worse. Darn you Chopin. As Dr. Argersinger (my theory prof) always says (a paraphrase), "These masterpieces weren't written for a sophomore theory class to analyze." But irregardless it's still enough to drive me further out of my mind than I already am. Scary thought, eh? Who writes in Ab minor anyways? Or Fb minor? And unclassifiable chords? Even better. Oh yea, I love this guy. I love my job. I have the coolest major in the world! Who else cares about stupid things like composite rhythms and the confirmation and elaboration of the final tonic? Yea, exactly. Why on earth do people study the arts? What relevance does it have on the rest of society? These are rather rhetorical questions and I actually don't want answers because I know exactly why I'm studying this crazy topic =) But! Chopin sucks at the moment.
