So yea,
Started school this past week and I realized, IT'S ONLY BEEN A WEEK!  o_O
It's going to be a loooong quarter. I feel like I didn't prepare for it well enough in advance. I totally forgot about buying books, until a few days before school. I didn’t have notebooks/binders ready. Then I had to make sure to buy a parking permit, because it's a quarter system now and it's $50 every...3 months. And the price of books!! Wholy Moly, i never realized, until I was the one paying for them, how much money they really suck out of your checking account. About $400 for books, this quarter alone.  Oh and I did a buy back for my child development text book i bought in December, brand new because there were no used ones I could find, $120. First day of school, i did the buy back for the book...Got $34 back for it. $34! That won't even fill up my gas tank! And then my teacher ed class this quarter was a little over whelming to say the least. We found out all this stuff about the CBEST, CSET and RICA tests we have to take.(and the costs of those tests! The CSET has 3 sections, each section has 2 sub sections. And they are $75 each section!! ) Our portfolios for work will now be digital only, and we have a annual fee to pay for the website we keep all our work on. Finger printing and background checks, which I understand, you have to make sure that the person teaching your children is not a complete psycho, but that's another $60.  I never realized how much money this all would cost. And how much time i would have to take off of work to go take these tests, which connects to my not having money...BAH!
