Writers Bug
So, it's official. My writers bug is back. All the way home i kept thinking about this story I had started writing...Well to be honest it was really more like 2-ish stories I had started to write about.
My best friend , for Christmas, gave me these Twilight journals. And they are amazing. In general, they have quotes from the books Stephanie Myer was inspired by while writing each novel and quotes from the books. Almost every page in each of the four journals is different. I had a writers bug bit when she gave them to me and after moving I just didn't really write anymore, at all.
Then one day while at work and the phones were pretty much none existant for outbound calls I started a story. One about a girl at a party who was trying to avoid the bane of her existance, a popular jock at her high school who, no matter where she is, he always seems to find her and pick on her. You know, the premise for a lot of ya novels...But then I just stopped writing.
Last year...wait no...more like about 2 years ago, I had started writing my second ever fanfiction story based on the Lifetime show that was canceled horrible, Blood Ties. It was called 'Back Again' and I have about....12 chapters written and saved on my desktop but the latest chapter I never completed..I started getting the urge to finish that story and then post the rest of the chapters so there's no longer that incomplete story just sitting there anymore.
I know I'm not the best writer...heaven knows there are kids younger than me who probabaly write a lot better...But I am still determined in some way to get my foot in the door of Publishing. I mean yes, I like to...scratch that, love to write. It's not the best way to try and make a living however, working in the Production department of a publishing company is something I'd really like to do...Still....even though I'm working 40+ hours at a call center Monday thru Friday and with my schedule it's not too likely a possibility any type of internship is available.
Whatever lays ahead I'm excited my writer bug is back and I cant' wait to get the tip of my pen into action or my fingers clicking away on the key board!
