* Had a lovely coffee meeting with the great
balljar on Friday - plans are coming together for our adventure - the plan is to rent out the space at the Arts Project for a full day, and possibly an evening, he will send out an email at the University Hospital offering our Portrait Session. Since at the studio I work at we are fully booked until Christmas, and I have to turn people away - I know that there are many out there who are still looking to have family pictures done for the Holidays. With he (and his friend's) equipment and knowledge of lighting and taking wonderful pictures, and my skills at posing, setting appointments and pricing, and generally acting silly for smiles, we can certainly make this work! Just need to set the date(s) and get booking! This is going to be fun, and we may even make a bit of money for ourselves!
* Re-connected with a childhood friend - he now lives far far away in Brazil, with his wife and 3 daughters. As we get to know each other once again, and learn of each others lives now as adults, I can see that paths cross, then cross again for reasons and blessings yet to be understood.
* My neck, well,...is my neck - I AM going to carry on and know that I will work for at least 2 more years before I take the step and label myself 'disabled', and receive funds from our Government (basically my pension early)
* I am working steadily on my stuff for the show in May - going along the same thought as before, ... I will have much more time in January once the rush at the studio is over.
* Planning to visit my favorite cousin up north in the week after Christmas. She and I will visit some 'green' homes, and see what our future holds - maybe live in a 'model home' of sorts, as a B & B, offering new skills (green living & otherwise) to those who come visit us to aid them in making changes in their lives.
Time to make dinner - hot turkey sandwiches with mashed yams and peas - a warm yummy meal for this cold and rainy night.
