It has been much MUCH easier to stay raw than I thought it would be. Actually, that is not quite true - I knew I was ready, that it was the right time, so part of me knew it might not be so hard. But most accounts that I have read say that the "transition" is difficult, adjusting can take time and cravings are common, so I was - and still am - prepared for that. However, I really haven't had any longing for cooked food thus far. I hope it continues this way. I also have not had any headaches since Day 3, and my energy has been steadily going up. I seem to be doing okay with less sleep than usual too, but I have been getting less sleep for reasons not totally controllable and thus I would say it's not been put to any real test - given the choice I might well desire to sleep longer.
I have experienced several afternoons with random euphoria. It is a very odd thing to experience, and only because Steve Pavlina and a few others blogged about it did I have any understanding of what it might be. Particularly on Tuesday evening, I felt almost high - tears of joy were streaming down my face as I talked to Deme about it. It is really fascinating, but WOW am I glad I have some idea why it's happening - it would be almost scary otherwise I think.
For the most part, my eating is very simple: fruit for "first breakfast" (before or as I am leaving the house), then more fruit for breakfast once I get to work, along with a large glass of water with the juice of a whole lemon (actually a mix of lemons and limes), often more fruit before lunch or maybe a Lara Bar (raw fruit and nut bars - I have a box of "cherry pie" which is made of dates, almonds, and cherries ONLY), lunch is a BIG salad (loads of greens, olive oil and balsamic vinegar, fennel seeds, tomatoes, cucumber, sprouts, peppers, etc.), then more fruit and/or raw nuts in the afternoon, and dinner could be salad or fruit or both. This morning I had 1/2 an avocado as "first breakfast" YUM.
