For the most part, I don’t usually try to lock myself into a particular genre. I do tend to hang out in certain fandoms, so I suppose that could be a genre. Like superhero fic or fantasy fic, or erotic fic… When I first started I did write solely hetero pairings, but once I started experimenting with slash/femme slash, I found sticking to one type of pairing pretty confining. I do it now and then, just to prove to myself I have the discipline, but it’s not my preference.
I think my fics tend to be a mix. Even when I intend to write something that’s say, plain smut, I wind up throwing some sort of plot or character development in it. I can say I’m surprised that I do write so much romance-type content into my fic when I’m really not a romance reader. Whether I’m reading it or writing it, it’s got to be more than spandex and ray guns or boy meets girl or I just get bored.
12 - Have you ever attempted an "adaptation" fic of a favorite book or movie but set in a different fandom?
