Character: Sherlock
Warning: disassociation and drug use
Word count: c. 170 words
Lots of things fed into this including the idea that Sherlock's drug-taking and his own idea of himself as sociopath are both ways to avoid feeling.

this is heartbreakingly good. tried to read it out loud because I wanted to hear it properly, but couldn't get through it.

I love how you've disconnected the narrator so thoroughly from himself that he's all the more himself. Understated and deftly executed!

Thank you very much! *blushes*

That's exactly the effect I was aiming for! Really glad you thought it worked.

Wow. That is pretty heartbreaking. :(

I love how you've created the oppressive atmosphere of feeling that way in such a tightly controlled way.

Thank you very much for commenting! Sorry about the heart-breaking bit: Monday was the day of angst. But I'm really glad you thought the control and the oppression worked.

I love it. I can't write drabbles, not yet, but when I do I will be aiming for this.

"Some days, the sky is too low" is one of my favorite opening lines now, of anything maybe. It's so perfect for so many situations. We all feel the sky is too low sometimes.
