it's that time of year again
1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
I went to college. I dated someone who wasn't a tool. I realized that I've always gotten panic attacks and thought that they were totally normal.... they aren't. i felt homeless. and i got a legit job where i realized so much about life.
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I'm not usually big into new year's resolutions because i think that they are usually to broad. however, this year i plan on trying to swear less and learn to communicate better with people.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No one I can think of.
5. What countries did you visit?
france, does the airport in germany count?
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
The ability to like myself. The guts to come out. em, it's amazing how similar we still are sometimes.umm the courage to stand on my own and better grades
7. What dates from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
gradution, when i moved out of my house (june 15th) october fourth because that's when it went official with richard.November 4th. ELECTION NIGHT.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
getting ward even though it's hard to get as a senior, graduating high school. surviving life even though it is 100% different. falling in love even though i have been so hurt.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not doing better in school. not letting myself be happy. not sailing with gabbi that one last time.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
No, just the usual too many headaches kind of thing.... wow em. yeah and being sick for like the first two months of school
11. What was the best thing you bought?
ummm my laptop? i dunno my watch that i wear 24/7.
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
anyone who put up with me.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
My own, to different extents. It's getting better..... yeah and i don't know
14. Where did most of your money go?
to the MBTA, to food, to clothes, work or otherwise.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
PARIS. art history, that joan of arc painting,school, boys, you know, the usual
16. What song will always remind you of 2008?
mr carter, sexy can i, many other songs... hot and cold.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? MUCH happier! This time last year was not that good.
b) thinner or fatter? fatter, college does that
c) richer or poorer? Richer i actually got a job
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Staying organized. Volunteering. socializing. making friends, studying
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Stressing. Lying. obsessing which i've been doing 24/7 here in florida
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
i was at home. which never happens. and by at home i mean in florida with my parents and grandparents. which usually does happen. so now that my home has moved here and my life stayed in boston its all kinds a wierd.
21. Did you fall in love in 2008?
i like to think that i did. but it has yet to really play out. i hope it works out.
22. How many one-night stands?
ouch. one, my only one wellll not really but that's what i'm going to call this one because i don't intend on having another one because they really suck.
23. What was your favourite TV program?
TRUE LIFE! i could watch that all the time. dexter and weeds.
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I'm not big on hate. it takes way to much effort

i don't remember what i read... which is lame but the last lecture was excellent.
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
i haven't really listened to anything new this year because my life went haywire.

A college that i love. friends who i love to the bone. a boy to love.

a home. to wake up from my life and say great. that was just a dream.

benjamin button. i don't really remember what other movies came out that i really liked.. dark knight was decent. ok more than decent.

I was 18 and does anyone want to remind me? i honestly don't remember this is so bad
31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
having a place in boston where i could stay without feeling guilty.

if you don't give a damn we don't give a fuck. i was really into dresses and wearing jeans and a plain shirt.
33. What kept you sane?
I don't know. Smoking again, over the summer. yepp. turning off my feelings, i think that sane is not a word that i would use to describe myself this year/

35. What political issue stirred you the most?
The election, all year. Prop 8, but only really after it passed, sadly.

My grandmother. my mother. my high school friends. new york city.

no matter what. your wounds will heal, as time passes you will be stronger and life will get better.
