NYC and why American Idol season 9 fails at everything ever
Yesterday was my city trip with Kevin!! It was really a lot of fun!! :DD It wasn't raining, we didn't get lost, and we didn't die!! It was also my very first subway ride. :D How exciting~! Because I'm such a Long Island girl and I've never been on the subway before I wasn't used to anything. I was so scared that I was going to fall down once the train started. ^^; I didn't, though! Victoryyyy! \o/ It really wasn't that crowded GOING there, but on the way home it was terrible. Which made sense 'cause it was rush hour. It was actually pretty funny, though, 'cause at first it was like "yay~! Room to stand!" and then at each stop more and more people got into the train until we became a can of sardines. Someone was really nice on the subway, though!! This nice man got up and told me to sit down. :') It was good that I got to sit 'cause I was getting nervous from being so squished. ^^; Crowds terrify me and...yeah, that's a crowd. While in the subway (not the actual train tho) Kevin and I saw a rat!! Which is really disgusting but the subway was dirty and gross so I wasn't actually surprised. I'm a freak 'cause I got excited. xDDD It's really disgusting, but I never saw a rat outside of a petstore before!! Which is probably a good thing... I think mice and rats are cute, though!! Kevin and I walked near it and it went inside of a hole in the wall! A REAL LIFE MOUSE HOLE!! I never saw one of those in person, either!! But the rat wasn't sure what it wanted to do 'cause it kept going in and out of the hole. xD I took a picture of it and when the flash went off it SQUEAKED! Aww. I'm such a weirdo for finding it cute, I guess, but oh well. ^^;
On the way there Kevin and I got off the subway one stop early so we had to do a lotttt of walking to get to the musuem. We would've had a lot of walking either way 'cause it was a decent walk from the subway to the musuem anyway but still. I like walking but I'm so out of shape that too much walking kills me afrer a while. D: My legs are SHOT!! DD: I seriously can't stand up or walk anymore without it hurting. ;___; I just layed around today like some type of dead animal. And if my legs still hurt tomorrow then I'm planning on doing this tomorrow too. xP
The museum itself was the only boring part. xD;; I don't really ~get art, as you probably know by now. But at least I got my proof to show that I've been there so I'm good. And the musuem visit was probably the shortest part of the trip, ironically enough. xD
So yeah, it was fun! :D I got home around 7:00 so I was out all day. :P It was good that I got to go out like that. It was an adventure and different than what I usually do! I never really go into the city so it was definitely a nice change. :D
In other news...American Idol season 9; FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL. DDDD:< DIDI GOT SENT HOME LAST NIGHT!! I'd be lying if I said that I didn't cry. >_>;; I was soooo upset. And pissed!! :( She was the only person that I honestly cared about on the show!! I loved her voice becaue it was beautiful and pretty, and I loved her 'cause she was adorable and had a cute personality. Everyone else is soooo uninteresting. >_< My second favorite is Siobhan but truthfully the only performance that I jizzed over that she did was Paint It Black. That's the only studio version other than Didi's that I took the time to download. And also, she seriously needs to work on her voice. She has a really big voice but she doesn't know how to control it. Alsoooo...no. She's not the ~female Adam Lambert~. -_-; Adam is the female Adam Lambert. And her weird way of dressing doesn't make her ~different, it just means she has no fashion sense. I could go out dressed like this and would that make me ~different? No, that would just make me a jackass in a weird outfit. Don't get me werong, I really do like Siobhan because I think she's adorable and she IS talented if she tries, but I'm just really cranky about losing Didi. ^^; The problem with me just turning into a stan of Siobhan is that I don't really care about HER. I care about her as much as I cared about Megan Joy last year. I always thought she was likeable and pretty and talented, but didn't care either way. When Megan put out music I didn't RUN out to go listen to it, but then one day I got reaaaaally bored and listened to her songs and it turned out that I liked a lot of them. I know it'll be the same way Siobhan. No matter what point she gets to on AI I'm not gonna follow her at all afterwards. ^^; Then one day I'll get bored and listen to her music and maybe I'll like a song or two. And for this season that's actually saying a lot because she's the only person who's music I'd even give some kind of chance to. The rest of the people I could care less about. They either suck or are talented but crazy boring. >.> So you know what I'm going to do to deal with my rage? I'm gonna help troll the fuck out of season nine and help vote for Tim Urban! >:3 He actually has more personality than everyone on this show at this point, haha. And he's adorable! The problem? He sucks at singing. He beat out Didi this week and he really has no talent at all. No one even knows why he's still here. How funny would it be if he made top 2 or better yet WON American Idol's fail season this year? xDDD I would die laughing. Normally I take Idol very seriously and never do things like this, but this year became a joke. It's not the first time, though. I hated both Taylor and Jordin's seasons, too. Which is why I don't think Kradison ~broke Idol. There have been other fail years too, American Idol can't always be good. xD; They need crappy season too so they could balance it out! :P Besides, I was jizzing over both season 7 AND season 8. How often does someone get so invested to a reality show two seasons in a row? This season was destined to be a failure just for that alone. :P Anyway, I really hope Didi does SOMETHING. I doubt she'll be able to put out a record or anything like that, but some MySpace music would be cool. I'm gonna try to follow her as much as I can. I love her even though she isn't on Idol anymore. <3 And hey, if anything else...at least she's on the tour! That's something. Maybe if I really do stalk the barricades I'll get to meet her!! :DD ♥
I haven't bitten my nails all week since I said I'd stop! I'm so proud of myself! My cheap nailpolish started chipping, though, so about a hour ago I started biting the rest of the nailpolish off. ^^; Ew. I need to repaint my nails. Problem is that right now I'm all cuddled and snuggie on my bed so I don't feel like getting up to my desk to paint my nails... Maybe I will tomorrow. It's not that big of a deal that I helped chip my nail polish off, though. The main thing is that I haven't bitten my actual nails! The week's almost done and that'll be one full week of not biting them! GO GINA, GO!!
This Sunday is Easter!! :X We're going to color Easter eggs on Saturday night. :D And Mommy still needs to buy Easter candy and Marshmellow Peeps...>_>; Hopefully she'll do that tomorrow. We can't make a proper Easter basket without those things! :P Plus I want Easter candy to eat. I had a craving for those chocolate eggs all day today but we didn't have any! I had to settle for chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies instead but they were so much less fabulous. :(
