updates
I'm living in the basement. I don't yet have a shower or TV but that's all going to change very soon. I hope.
My uncle is still dying. His grandson (my second cousin) is a 5 year old nightmare that understands enough to be irritating and not enough to understand the need for quiet reflection. I was told that if he stayed at the hospital this afternoon that he would likely die, or be killed, more specifically. I took him for the afternoon. That was the longest 5 hours of my life. He talks...a lot. It's not enough to be in the same room with him while he played with the toy I bought him, I had to watch him play with the toy and listen to an explanation of what said toy was doing. I finally called my cousin and verified that she had left the hospital for the day and demanded to know where I could take her child. There is only soo much of her child I can take. It wouldn't be so bad (and I add this for those of you thinking of removing me from your friends list) if the child had any stability in his life. His father is rarely home and when he is, he's addicted to his big ass television and doesn't want to be bothered. Thanks sperm donor...ass! The child has learned that the word no can be changed to "whatever" if he whines. OMG, the whining! That kind of behavior doesn't fly with me. He wanted to wander around Wal-mart without holding my hand because his mom lets him do it. They live in Hutchinson. Granted, it's not the smallest town in the state but Wichita probably has a higher crime rate and nothing bothers me more than the idea of children being harmed by careless caretakers.
At any rate, I ditched the kid and went to dinner with friends that are in town for the day. At some point, I'm going to have to do some work since I was only in the office for 2.25 days this week.
One last thing, my psychology teacher sometimes rocks! Our final quiz consisted of one question...what's your name? I nailed it...without checking my photo id.
