My mother is a freakin' psycho.

I'm home from work today because my mother decided to clean the carpets and escalated my flu/cold/sickness/whatever to the vomit stage. I came home yesterday from work, where I did nothing, to a house that smelled like vomit. Not one to mince words, I said, "what the hell is that smell? what did you do?" to which my mother replied, "I cleaned the carpets." Me: "With what? Nothing smells this bad!" Her: "Simple Green, Soap and Bleach."

I opened all the windows and then said a quick prayer of thanks that she didn't use this concoction in the basement and hid downstairs. She brought me dinner. Side note: Nothing has been tasting good for a couple of days so I really haven't been eating. Blame it on the Vicks and cough drops mixed with phlegm. Dinner was hamburgers in gravy with mashed potatoes and overcooked green beans. It's not overly appealing to the senses, of which I am short 2 but she insisted I eat it because she knows I haven't been eating. 2 AM, I start divesting my body of this meal. I called in sick to work and school.

My father just came down to check on me and tells me that the food was fine. That the upstairs smells bad but not like vomit and that he's sorry that he married a psycho.
Sadly, therapy has shown that I am turning into her. Lord, help us all.
