I am going to go cast my worthless vote for president.
Nope, I am not in a state where my vote counts, because it's for the "wrong" side. We really should do something about that, you know? We can keep the electoral college, but I'd really prefer that it was representative of our individual votes, not our "nomination" as a state. But oh well! I'll still do it anyways.
And, yes, I realize that my vote counts for local races, which is why I am really out there today.
My vote on a local race was decided by how I was approached by the representatives for each of the candidates. One left a note on my car while I was in church telling me how Jesus was the best leader and that candidate X was going to follow his footsteps. The other (candidate Y) dropped by my house that afternoon and asked me if I needed a ride to the polling place, and left me a number that I can call in case I need that come voting day. Needless to say, Y is getting my vote.
