Yay, an update! Wow, I am amazed they only charge $25 to book an area in Central Park. I would have expected a lot more so that's great. And I agree, people can figure out how to get to the restaurant. I'm sure it's not that hard.
And Penny is lovely! So she lets you pet her now?

There is one part of the park where the fee is considerably more. But yeah, NYC really wants people to make use of the park spaces in all five boroughs. They worked with us when our first location choice didn't work out.

Penny will let me pet her now, but not unconditionally. She will still bolt away at times. And she isn't cuddly. But she's come a long way. She will even come up to me for pettings sometimes!

Oh, your kitty is so precious! And she's very lucky to have found her forever home with you and T-Rex.

Your wedding sounds wonderful. And I agree about keeping costs down. Hubby and I will celebrate our 15th in October, and the entire cost of ours (we flew to Vegas and married there), including airline tix (before 9/11), hotel, clothes, chapel, etc was less than 2500.00.

So, I'm with you on the whole "you don't have to spend a fortune" thing.

I also agree with giving the guests the address and letting them find their own way to the restaurant. Because: New York has fantastic public transport.

Can't wait to see the pics!

Thank you! Yes we feel that adopting her was truly a rescue. How sad to imagine her spending years in the vets office.

There will be wedding photos at some point! :-)

She's such a pretty cat! And lucky to have you and T-Rex as her family now.

Well done you for not caving to the wedding industry - that it's known as an 'industry' speaks volumes.

Aw thanks. She is our pretty Penny.

And yes there is a whole industry around weddings which is insane. We are not participants in going deep into debt for our happy little celebration.

No indeed. Debt and happiness don't really go hand in hand, do they?

Hooray for wedding plans! And three more cheers for Penelope!

I hope your good luck with the plans continues to the event itself and ever after.
