Sunday relaxation

Well it's Sunday and I'm relaxing. Having gone out for sushi and drinks Friday night, then meeting up with erratic0101 and his girlfriend last night, it's good to have a day at home to recover. It's been a milky tea, breakfast burrito, cuddling kitty sort of morning.

I had two very intense dreams Saturday when I was able to sleep in. In one, I was in my flat with a few friends and an ominous person who believed he had the right to enter my home tried to smash down my door. He was menacing and strong, but never quite succeeded to do more than some damage to the door. I choose to interpret this as having good defenses against hostility.

In the second dream, Noel Fielding appeared in his mirrorball suit and started pole dancing at a burlesque event. A Howardy-type mate stood next to me in the same costume and tried goofily to imitate. I went up to Noel and spoke with him afterward and we got onto the subject of the fabric of his costume (was it in fact a four-way stretch as I'd mentioned in my fanfic story Curves?). The conversation got delightfully intense as he allowed me to touch the fabric to test its stretch capacity, but was interrupted before more could happen when Calliope woke me up by knocking something onto the floor with a loud thud. YAAARGGGH!!!

I also finally got round to a project ages in the making. I bought a felt cowboy hat at a costume shop back in I think September or October 2010 with the intention of personalizing it. Then in March 2011 I purchased decals (well, drfardook bought most of them for me as a gift) after deciding fabric paint would not produce the desired effect on felt. At last, I have a Spring hat worthy of the levity of the sun (clickable thumbnails):

And yes that is a wild Nymphadora in the background tempted by the hat strings.

In other news, my friend Peter (who is my BBC angel) unearthed this video for me and gave me permission to post it on YouTube. Enjoy, and happy Sunday flist!
