Signal Boost on airport scanners

Nov 18, 2010 15:46

Those of you who don't live in or travel to the States may not be aware, but the national Transportation Security Administration has issued full body scanners for use in airports. Those flying now must either go through the scanner or a physical pat down, upon the request of airport security. I know the world has turned a little bit upside down when I find myself a bedfellow of Ron Paul, but hey, heterosexual white men in political positions are the squeaky wheels who get the most grease so I'm glad he's formally opposing this new practice.

elusis (who I do not know, btw) has posted an incredibly eloquent entry about all the reasons why this new policy is problematic for many groups of people. Please click here and read it.

Also, it seems there's a problem with my earthlink email accounts as of this afternoon. So please forgive if I take longer than usual to get back to you. I suspect some sort of bottleneck, as emails I've sent to myself from the same account have not shown up either, but I'm able to send things out.
