I think "How to Tell a True War Story" is kind of confusing but this is what I got out of it and sorry if its not right or you don't follow much.
"Often the crazy stuff is true and the normal stuff isn’t, because the normal stuff is necessary to make you believe the truly incredible craziness.” (71)
I think he's trying to say that no matter what kind of story someone can tell if they tell it good... It's believeable and there's things just thrown in there to make it seem even more real. So what i'm tryin to say I think O'Brien thinks truth is whatever people believe because how would those who are believing.. know that ur lieing? makes you think right ? lol I'm probably confusing all of you guys.. but jus think about it.. People only believe what they think is true.. therefore.. if people dont think you're lieing.. and you are.. they're going to think its the truth? lol o man.. I bet I lost who ever is readin this...
