Went to see Alice last night. I enjoyed it but I think my enjoyment had something to do with not having read any Alice books and drinking through the movie. I think by the time Johnny got to his dance I was a little tipsy and it was giggle worthy. Was it a sellout? absoloutley.
But Jess and I both agreed...what a waste considering how much money they would have spent making the damn thing. It made me laugh but what an awful lot of time, energy and money wasted on something that...just made you laughandgowow. Like if they really wanted to put Alice ahead of her original stories I bet you can think of something right now that would have been far more adventurous and interesting (and curiouser) than what I saw last night.
Life productivity is going a little slower then what I would like at the moment. I'm being a busybody but I'm still wasting alot of energy and time on menial stuff. However getting in the awsome habit of getting up at 7:30, well at least making it feel normal...and going to bed between 11 and 12. It's good times sleepwise.
In 2nd week of school now, which is going nicely. Finally inishing off degree this semester with a business and music subject :p A nice change to be honest although looking back I really wish I'd just done all 4 left over subjects this time last year. But we musn't dwell on the past. Business subject:Event Creation and Design I can tell I'm definitely going to be enjoying the lectures more then the tutes. Bonus is that the lectures are 2 hours but the tutes only 1. However the lecturer has the tendency to try to relate to the business students understanding of creative semantics, which ain't much, so words like 'imagination' and 'creativity' end up getting infinitley overused. In fact I'm surprised that the first lecture didn't cover something along the lines of 'terminology of creativity'. Instead of the students understanding and developing their own language for creativity, wll this was replaced with 'brainstorming'. As much as this form of definition and wordsearch must be basic knowledge for business graduates methinks considering most of the students were 2nd and 3rd year undergrads the lecturer could have upped the ante with the language he introduced. However there was a leap between the language he was using during the lecture and the language used in the slides and reading material. This has always kind of annoyed me, but I'll leave that argument for now.
Going to Music Technology soon, which I'm looking forward to a little more. Get to test mad skillz on garageband no doubt. Ok well I'm crossing my fingers for software a little more advanced...but I don't think we'll be getting anywhere close to syballius.
Hrms better go. Need to reflect more. Am writing more music :)
