Hi guys,

just letting you know that the fire in Heidelberg is on the verge of being contained and is in no danger to homes. It's a grass fire burning in the yarra flats region. Unfortunately this is the harbouring spot for native wildlife in the area. I'll let you know of any updates bad or good. I guess the biggest risk to human health atm is the fuck load of smoke hanging around. If you're in the area don't leave home without a hanky and don't take the main roads into Heidelberg. In face try and avoid the suburb altogether. The traffic is backed from macleod to bulleen and the burke road exit from the eastern freeway due to excessive road blocking.

Unfortunately the information providers are being VERY vague about the preciise location of the fire so i cannot give very much accurate news. 774 doesn't seem to be covering it at all so I am relying purely on the internettage for news,

adios for now

Dom
