"In "Run Silent, Run Deep," a body is found buried in a football stadium and the evidence places Messer at the scene. For Mac to solve this case, the show will have to delve deep into Danny's past. "The storyline is going to be what Danny went through before he was a cop," revealed Giovinazzo. "It's going to put me in a real predicament and be real intense."
It's hardly surprising to hear of Danny being involved any sort of predicament. The character has become the show's emotional whirlwind, his hard temper barely tamable even under his boss's recalcitrant sovereignty. "Danny is the Sonny Corleone of the show," CSI creator Anthony Zuiker said. "He's always in trouble, has a bad temper and can't shake his past."
This new episode of New York will surely provide some answers for the fans, but don't expect Danny Messer to soften up. "I don't think Danny will settle down," added Giovinazzo. "He'll be in more troublesome situations, on the edge of being fired. We're not going to sew up this guy in a nice package."
