Ok, Seriously. This episode is a big reminder of once again, why I so very very much LOVE MAC TAYLOR. Because of, despite of his flaws, his trauma and his dogged determination to GET HIS MAN.
Adam (AJ) not only gets a full credit, but gets some actual screentime! YAY! Bring on the Adam! I am totally excited about how he stood up to Mac respectfully. Good boy.
Danny seemed pretty concerned with Mac the whole ep, but interacted with him very strangely-- arms crossed, always shifting and moving....
So, Flack is the good son and the sister is the bad black sheep of the family. Intersting. And clearly, Flack doesn't like her choices in life. Can't say I blame him.
Stella was TOTALLY the stud today! Off finding her man in a helicopter, trying to get him fixed, keeping the case going and then being the stunt woman FTW hangin off the building chasing Joe on the top of the bank. Atta girl, way to show them you can keep up.
Lindsey was actually *likeable* this ep -- probably because she wasn't interacting with/creating drama with Danny. She does well against Mac.
Sid's scenes seemed very... not really flat, but they didn't have the Sid flair and rambling/bad jokes. Give me my Hammerback, yo. :-(
Mac had at least one non-blue shirt, and everyone except Hawkes seemed pretty casual. (stellaluna_ will be all over the Fashion Watch, so I'm not going to nitpick it.)
What is UP with the visuals/SFX in this ep? Have I just gotten used to lower budget shows, or did it seem that they seriously graphiced the hell out of everything? Everything from Sid's virtual autopsy to Stella's scanner tool to the screens that Danny was interacting with. Seemed awful graphics heavy. Almost TOO graphics heavy. :-/ Just because you CAN make it shiny doesn't mean you NEED to. Take a hint people, subtle can be good.
