1. What's your favorite funny story involving Da?
There are lots-- although my funniest are with Pud, who died a few years back (and brought me Da, I am convinced.) I guess if I had to pick one from Da it would be the time she missed the doorway when running around the house and smacked headfirst into the wall. *run run run KATHUNK* I guess the best part is she bounced off and kept going, skittering around the corner she originally missed like nothing happened. Didn't see her for a while after though-- bruised ego, I guess.
2. What's your favorite book?
Tough choice-- but I guess it'll have to be Michael Pollan's "Botany of Desire: A Plant's-Eye view of the World". (Except it's not about desire at all... deceptive title.)
3. Why did you start collecting ducks?
It wasn't exactly a conscious choice of mine, really. I used to carry a tiny beany duck in my pocket when I was a freshman in high school because I liked the soft feel of it. I even kicked/beat up on a senior officer nearly twice my size when I had to rescue it from the trash one day. A couple of my friends started referring to me as "Ducky" because of the duck, and a few of them started bringing me them on occasion. I was sorta ambivelant about the whole thing for a while, and then grew to like the variation of them-- there's so many different kinds out there. And then I discovered Devil Ducks and they made it so much more cooler. :-D
4. What are your favorite moments/scenes of Mac/Danny interaction on the show?
In no particular order:
-- Danny lighting Mac on fire because Mac practically begs him to offers
-- Danny throwing baseballs and Mac clocking them with the speed gun
-- Where Mac "demonstrates" the defensive moves the dead marine would have used on Danny, and gets all gleeful and pats him on the shoulders like 'good show'
-- Hug outside the hospital
-- When Danny finds Mac and Flack in the building rubble in CotP, doggedly persevering, and ignoring the civilian guy
-- Fight/'off the grid' thing in "On the Job"
-- "Pay Up", says Mac-- bet about the bug food
-- The phone call on the subway in "Risk"
Just about any time when they're working together, cooperating, and interacting in interesting ways.
5. You win an all-expenses-paid trip around the world. Aside from visiting friends, what are the top five places you would want to go?
