Random noticed bits- White Collar- 1x01- Pilot
Noticed bits while doing a rewatch (trying to temper some nerves with the fail!boys and it didn't work much...)
Neal looks like he's ready to lean in and kiss Peter as a flippant goodbye when Peter catches him with the bottle in Kate's apartment.
El's been living with Neal in their marriage a while, she's clearly used to it.
Neal's note to Peter about June is signed with both 'Love' and 'OXOX'.
Neal seems genuinely hurt (not playing at it, because he tries to hide it quickly) that Peter calls him a cartoon.
I think Peter getting upset with the whole thing about Neal living with June is less about the way things should work and more about how worried he is that Neal is going to screw it up and be locked away, away from *him*, forever. Peter's already got some weird attachment/need thing going on that both of them dance around.
They are good at setting up the 'Neal and Peter are smart and read each other's minds' thing.
Also? Elizabeth talks about and asks about Neal like he's already part of them. It's not a big jump.
Neal/Peter in the car re: relationships-- 'Relationships are work'- they clearly are in one of their own that they're still trying to sort out.
The focus on the keys when Neal gets his idea to lead them to the press by running-- gratuitous crotch shot anyone?
Peter's 'happy face' over the bust softens and gets happier when he looks at Neal. Say what you will about what it means, but it means *something*.
And, on a completely shallow note-- 15 seconds of shirtless Peter, and NO more since, and 30 seconds of shirtless Neal and lots more since? SINCE WHEN IS THIS FAIR?? :-(
