The OT3 lives, especially the boys. Peter has an amazing amount of influence over Neal now, especially in ways that it's clear that Neal doesn't want him to have. But at the same time, Neal has a lot of influence over Peter, because Peter is willing to kill in order to save/defend Neal. He didn't have a problem busting a cap in Fowler, even not knowing that Fowler had a vest on.
I think too, that it's becoming more clear to Neal that he can be happy doing the 'right thing', not because he's doing the right thing but because he's got the right people in his life to keep him happy. (Peter, El, June, Moz)
You know, I was surprised when Neal finally actually lied to Peter to his face, but it was redeemed by the fact that he clearly couldn't hide it/do it smoothly. I don't know what you'd call it yet, but there's something there.
Clearly Alex is going to be the new love interest next season, but so far I can't stand her.
Kate's probably not dead, but I'm really hoping she is. Neal needs to move on. She's poison. So's Alex.
I also think Neal was going to walk onto the plane and go. I honestly think his last words were going to be "Peter... I'm sorry..." and he was going to get on the plane because just like Peter, he HAS to know. The mysteries have to be solved, the impossible done. Because that's who he is. (And then he would have come home to Peter after Kate had finally betrayed him, gotten tossed back in jail, and maybe Peter couldn't really get him out this time.)
Neal's goodbye gesture to El was love, too. He wasn't just 'fixing what was broken', he was providing a future for her, in a way only he could. And you only do such things for people you care about. (at least, in my experience.)
And I'm sorry, him asking about when she knew? Because he has feelings for Peter too, and doesn't know how to handle them. He's used to moving around the world, conning and seducing, but this love and maybe wanting to stay in one place thing is probably a whole new world to him.

And there is a part of me that is completely convinced that after they clear the incident scene, Peter takes Neal home to El for her to baby and comfort until he's gotten through enough of his mourning period that she can justify KICKING HIS ASS for even THINKING leaving them like that was remotely ok.
