reasons why i love above song:
1) jon brion's string arrangement
2) the saloon style piano that is played on the track between approximately 2.31 to 2.40 (second chorus roughly) into the track. it could easily have been thrown out and i'd imagine the majority of listeners wouldn't notice the difference. but that ever-so-slight addition makes that track so much more.
3) the duel rhyming between kanye and cam'ron, which is slightly reminiscent of the beastie boys and not often found on hip hop records. when another rapper guests on a track, it's usually to rap a verse. the interplay between those two (it's very slight, yes) is admirable
4) cam'rons verse is so excellent. his wordplay is admirable (listen to his section on the word "deal" for an idea) so much so that i finally listened to his Purple Haze album and was just as impressed.
5) the string break after consequence's verse is impeccable
