roll over

so last weekend i was at the del close marathon. friday and saturday were filled with gut-busting laughs galore. admiration for ian roberts skyrocketed even further. saturday night i snuck into the backstage area of the upright citizens brigade theatre and partook in their free beers and alcohols. had a 40-50 second drunk chat with aziz ansari before he realized i was just another drunk, babbling fan. drunkenly snuck onstage to partake in DRUNKEN SONIC ASSAULT wearing a Target bag on my head and a fake dog nose. Went back with dcm gang to chloe's. vomitted in the Q.

Woke up hungover, and proceeded to vomit a lot. Ate a bagel. Vomited that up. which was disgusting because they came out of my mouth looking like a bagel-poop. drank water. continued vomiting. drank water to help hangover. vomited again. vomited in the streets of nyc walking back for the last day of del close marathon. I CONTINUED VOMITING ANYTHING I ORALLY INGESTED UNTIL ROUGHLY 10-11 PM. if i drank water, i threw that up. i wound up dehydrated, starving and acting like a pathetic baby all day. i missed the asssscat 3000 show and felt sorry for myself.

one of the things i enjoy about going to the del close marathon is standing alongside these great comedians/b-celebrities (aside from aziz, but i was drunk then). "paul scheer just brushed passed me while i sat on the floor trying not to vomit! how cool is that!" or walking past horatio sanz and seeing other fans gushing to him while thinking "yeah, i'm too awesome for that." the oddest minor celebrity siting for me was DAVE HOLMES, the runner up in MTVs first wanne be a veejay and now the co-host of FX's DVD on TV performing in an improv group!!! WTF?!

i took some pictures of that weekend, but i broke my camera again...sooo bollocks.

i also took up reading non-Vonnegut books, in a vain attempt to appear a bit more cultured. i finished Hornby's high fidelity, over halfway through with bruce campbell's make love the bruce campbell way (soooo many big words), and i started thomas pynchon's V., which makes absolutely no sense so far.

i'm also trying to make my own acoustic version of Genius/GZA's "I gotcha back," minus the n-words and profanities (so G-rated i am) after really liking and finding absolutely bizarre [Bonnie "Prince" Billy & Matt Sweeney] Superwolf cover of R. Kelly's "Ignition," which you can hear/download by clicking

my god this was a massive post. time for some applesauce.
