Almost 18 but treated like 5

So ive concluded that my dad wont ever stop treating me like im 5. No matter whether im 18, 25, or even 42 hell still think that he has some damn kind of hold on me and this pisses me off. He doesnt let me do anything anymore or more like he gives me a curfew of 12:30 in the summer when i dont even get out of work till hmm lets see 10:30. I mean at

somehow rebelling and breaking curfew every night dosnt seem like tha tbest idea in the world. pissing your dad off even more by breaking his rules isnt exactly going to make him go easier on you. it took some serious earning of trust before my parents started letting me drive out later, like i'm allowed out pretty much whenever i want but for a good 3 monhs i kiddes their asses and was home 10 minutes early every night and showed them how super careful i was, my reward for those 3-4 months of torture is being able to do pretty much whatever i want now. i know it takes some time dear but it's deffinately worth it, also sitting down and having a serious talk with your dad about how you feel and how you want to earn his trust and show him that your not 5 will help out a lot as well. thats what worked for me at least. give me a call sometime, we really need to hang out more often!!~Leah~
