My copy of GIMP always seemed to disagree with this method, so I took to the alternate of of greyscaling the desired brush image, then hitting Script-Fu > Selection > To Brush and naming it thusly. It doesn't require a restart or kicking around files and folders with copying & pasting. But, YMMV, like I said, my copy was a bit pickier than this. Thanks for the contribution.

Huh. I've used GIMP on Windows & Mac, and it worked fine. Strange XD I think I tried the Script-Fu way before, and the brushes didn't work.

i dont hate "selection" under script-fu :( so i just cant seem to make a brusyh!! i've tried so many way through tutorials. what should I do?

Whenever I got to save it under the .gbr extension, it keeps saying that it's an unknown file type.
Help?
