GIMP crashing on Leopard
Hello everyone!
I'm extremely new to photo manipulating and editing- I just downloaded GIMP 2.4.2 today. However, every time I click on the image window the program quits. It's done this three times now, and I'm wondering- is this a bug, or did I not install the program correctly, or is there something I need to do in X11 that I don't know about? I use a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac with Leopard (v. 10.5.1).
ETA: I noticed that in the GIMP online manual (English language version) they state that you can open GIMP by typing "gimp" in the command line. However, when I try to do this I get the message "bash: gimp: command not found". Could this have something to do with the problem I'm having?
