(no subject)
Okay GIMP users ... I'm new and need some serious help! I just started using GIMP and I love it! BUT ... this is all I'm able to do right now:
Basically, I can shrink a pic to 100x100 and add text to it. I can adjust the color (boldness/contrast) and I can make one of those fuzzy boarders around the icon (see the first one above). One layer icons - nothing special. That's it. So what I need from you experts out there is a very good beginner's tutorial. I've read most of the ones here ... and I'm still finding them too complicated. I have no idea what a brush is or what it's used for. I don't have a clue how to use multiple layers. I don't know where to find new fonts for GIMP.
So you see, I'm like a blank canvas ... totally new to everything icon-making related. Is there anyone out there that can help me? Please, please, pretty please?
