A simple light texture tut

I hope posting it here is okay.

Today I will show you how to create a simple light texture like this

I'm going to to show you a very easy and simple way to create a light texture.

At first you need three different sized round brushes. I'm using some bigger ones. If you don't have them, a quick way to make them is by using the brush editor:

a. Go to your brush dialog and click on the "New Brush" button. Here's a pic.
b. Now the brush editor pop up. Play around with the settings until the brush looks right for you. Here's another pic.

1.Ok, now we can start with the texture.Open a new image (File->New), the size doesn't matter, but I started with 800x600 px. Then I used a radial gradient ( d5c59e to b6968a) or you can use a solid color.

2. In this step we are going to paint some lights. I used these brush settings and set the brush spacing to 200. Use each brush on a new layer. I used the colors f8e8c1 (looks like beige) and cd6a80 (is bit pinkish), and created six new layers. Like this:
i.
ii.
iii.

iv.
v.
vi.

3. In this step we blur some of the layers, but if you like you can blur all layers. I used the Motion Blur on the first, second, fourth and fifth layer with these settings: Linear - length 15 - angle 10.

4. In the last step I changed the layer modes. I set all the beige layers to overlay and the pink ones to screen.

And here's the result:

Was it understandable? Any questions?
