I made a buntch of brushes but GIMP is screwing up and they aren't working out properly, so I thought i'd make a tutorial! This one is really quick and super easy and damn beautiful, if I say so myself.

Layer Outline Script

I have an outline Layer Script which does exactly what you are talking about in this tutorial. I am pretty sure that I downloaded it, but I can't remember what website I downloaded it from. Sorry. In the comments of the script it says:
A set of layer effects script for GIMP 1.2
Copyright (C) 2001 Iccii
That should help you find it online. I used it with two icons and so you can see how it looks. Here are the samples:


I used it on the bride and groom.


I used it on Mulder and Scully.

Ahh, awesome. I'm not really into the scripts (atleast the ones that came default with Gimp) but the one you have seems to do the job well. If I come accross it one day, i'll post the link incase anybody else is interested ^_^
