Dog Fights

No I don't have an open ring in my basement, but there sure have been a long of dog fights at my house in the past 3 days. The other night I was reading in bed and Ethel was trying to get Pepe to play. Well I guess she provoked him too much and he attacked her (He's always the one that picks or starts fights). Ethel then fought back and the brawl began.

I have to say that normally when there is a fight, which is rare, I'm standing up and the dogs are on the floor. I can then get my feet in between them to brake it up.
All I could really do with two dogs fighting on my lap was to shove my elbow in their faces. That may sound silly, but I thought to myself that I'd rather lose the skin off my elbow than a finger. Well apparently I stuck my elbow in just the right spots so that Pepe had access to my hand and bit the top of it, and Ethel had access to my underarm and bit that.

Being so angry and pained and not caring about receiving more, I ripped Ethel up off the bed.

There was then punishment in the dark for 10 minutes.

Yesterday I was watching a movie and Ethel was playing with a chew toy. Pepe stole it from her and when Ethel went to get it back, Pepe bit her. Another fight ensued.

This time I had to repeatedly push Ethel off the couch and onto the floor. I did this about ten times before thinking that it was going to continue like this, because Pepe was growling.
I stood up as fast as I could and went to grab Ethel. I got my forearm in the way at the wrong moment and Ethel got a mouthful of it.

Another lovely hematoma.

People at work are going to think I'm being abused.

I need to get a spray bottle so I can spray them next time a fight starts.

Or I could take my mom's advice and remove their teeth so they'll look like the Bumble.
