Hmm, the intervals are longer and longer...
Still at Drax, nearly 7 years. Officially my longest running job ever. I watch people come and go, others get promotions, but I just CANNOT kiss ass. I reason that, because it's really flexible and often lots of fun, it's worth staying. When I need nights off for band stuff or otherwise, I get them. I get paid better than most because of my longevity, and I'm a staple employee that can do anything and everything that needs to be done. I'm a capricorn, we're apparently pragmatic, practical people, -though I don't put TOO much stock in star signs- so it makes sense that I should stick with a good thing... But who am I trying to convince...?
Looking for a second job, prerequisites- no hair cuts, no shaving, no finishing later than 3pm, no door-to-door sales, no comission based jobs of any kind, where 7 years experience in hospitality might count for more than a piece of paper... Know any? Hook me up... Gotta save for overseas trip next year. Or find a quick and easy way of getting 10k before July...
In other news, I have my daughter for the week, she turned 12 the other day. Jesus she's tall... She starts highschool next year. She moved to Sydney in January, so I get to see her 4 times a year during school holidays for a week at a time. It works well...
Finished recording 1st album for '7hz', just needs mixing/mastering which is being done by Mark Opitz. 'Relapse' covers gigs have been plentiful and prosperous, one more gig for the year, up in Kingaroy. My new side project 'Gimpus' needs a drummer and possibly a keyboardist. The sound is ideally dirty, bluesy, sex-metal... Think 'Down' meets 'Puscifer'... My guitarist and I decided to start it because 7hz is not quite the creative outlet we need... I'm actually excited about it... Music you can really fuck to...
Well, on that note, I'm the fuck outta here. But I'll be in Brissie on Saturday 2nd Oct. Come out. Play. Spread the Love... Gimp.
